newbee/w fuse trouble
#1
Hello everyone, I'm new here and I'd like to say this is a very nice site. I'm glad I finnally found a good one for a change. A little about myself, I'm 35 yrs old and I've been rideing and maintaing/rebuilding my own hondas for years. We love or mud down here in Louisiana. I still love the 3-wheelers for hunting. I have a '02 350es rancher I just picked up with electrical gremlins. It blows the main 30amp fuse 1st thing. Where do I start looking or has someone else had the same problem? Thanx Dan

Welcome to the forums man. Im sure you will find a lot of useful information here. Start by posting a thread with the title "Fuse question" or something like that. Im sure someone that knows something about it would be more than happy to help.

I got it figured out. The main power feeds back to the battery and with a trashed battery it will blow the main 30amp fuse. I swapped batteries with my big red and no more problem. I just got this 4wheeler from a buddy for $500. He's been scratching his head for over a year now with this problem. All I need to do now is a ring job, he washed them out in a creek crossing gone bad. Is this topend close to rebuilding as the 300 or 250es? I've never been in one of these before, but have done plenty of 250 bigreds and 300trx's? Thanx

a top end job is pretty easy, there's no cam chain to worry about. the cam is in the block. just unbolt the valve cover, unbolt the rocker arms, pull the pushrods out, unbolt the head and cylinder. easy 1 day job if you have the parts together.

Thats simple enough. Have you heard of any problems of egg shaping the cylinder when you washed the rings out? I was told today that it only takes a little bit of moisture in the cylinder to trash the rings and egg the cylinder. Thanx
