Default Trouble Starting 400ex after bad shift

Hi guys, I just got my new 05 400ex yesterday. I really like it except for the fact that I am having a small problem. I am completely new to using a clutch, so I sometimes shift incorrectly and the engine dies. After this happens, I cannot start it for about 15 min. Am I flooding the engine or what? After 15 min it will start fine and run like a champ. This has happened 3 times today (this is the first day I drove it) Any suggestions or advice. Thanks a lot.

Once the motor is warm, dont use the choke, and dont pump the throttle. Just crack the throttle to about 1/8, and crank...it should fire right up.

Yea, I did try that and it just will not turn over. I think I am just flooding it because after a few min it is fine.

When hot my 400EX starts best with no throttle at all. Idle needs to be high enough so be sure you have not turned idle too low. Same situation with my XR400 motorcycle that has same motor. No throttle but have idle high enough.
