Default Old fourtrax

I have a 90 300 honda recently wanted to move it to a newer model frame got everything hooked up but i cant get any spark at all from the coil, EVERYTHING worked perfectly before i started changing out....and i have changed stators... coils checked the cdi and other box ...changed wire harness's and everything still cant map out the problem any assistance would be greatly appreciated. thanks

With my limited knowledge, it sounds like a ground. On your new frame is it all nice and painted black? You might have to scrape that paint off to get a good connection with the metal frame.

I could be way off here too though. But it is a simple system, it HAS to be either the ground, plug, wire, coil, CDI, or stator. I think... [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

yeah but as far as i know theres 2 grounds ...one that runs from the battery to the motor and one that runs from the the wire harness to up around the coil.....ive checked both of these...i havnt checked the voltage rectifier...being that it grounds off the frame but im not sure if that would have anything to do with the problem......can anyone send me a wire diagram for a 1990 300 honda?

hey .. i dont have a diagram but ..one of my buddies was havin the same problem..no spark..and we couldent figre out y..at the end of the coil there is a little black box and he repaced that and bam it worked...that was also on a 87 bayou soo...just take a look..srry i dont no what is actually wrong

no black box on the end of my coil just 2 plugs for the wires to go into...

Did you check to see if there was dirt or somthin..possibly the wires could be broken..im not sure..sorry

yeah ive checked out almost everything that me my friends and local fourwheeler places can think of and still no go im getting rdy to tear it completely down check the wires one by one....thanks for the help tho i appreciate it.
