YFZ450 or TRX450r?
ya, i dont want the kfx....sry. Im going to a honda dealer today to test ride a honda450r. I know exactly what you mean hondaman440ex about the yfz not feeling right when u sit on it. If i do like the Honda i will probably get it, does anyone know if there is any big diff between the 07 450r and the 06? (i dont think there is)
thanx

First of all, the Yamaha does not rev to 14000 RPM's just to clear that up. Based on what you are saying, it sounds like you will be happy with both machines. There is no significant difference between the '06 and '07 TRX. I would buy the "brand" you like and the one you can easily get parts for if needed and you will be happy. There is no major power difference between the two '06's no matter what anyone says. If one is a half a quad faster than the other, then you can just mod the other and make it two quads faster or ten quads faster. Pick your favorite flavor and BE SAFE man.

the guy that stated that the 06 is different is exactly right. the 06 honda and yamaha are new and improved from the 05's. i rode a freinds 05 trx 450 and then i bought the 06 450r, and there was a deffinate difference. but i was told by both sides, that they are pretty much neck and neck stock.

Maybe you should wait till the KFX450 comes out. Even if you hate Kawi, it sounds like it will be an incredible machine. Im just saying this because if you go buy a 450R this month and the KFX450 comes out next month, you may be kicking yourself in the butt. I look at it like this: Kawasaki has had since 2004 to find out what people like and don't like about the 450R and YFZ, and you better believe the new KFX will be built with all of those things in mind. An aluminum frame, E-start, EFI, and reverse....even fully aftermarket racing machines don't have all of those goodies.

i dont think anyone is going to make a 450 with reverse, tho it would be nice, its just not in the spirit of the machine. as far as what one would i choose....im a member of the ride red or be dead club, honda all the way. they are all great machines, id say just go for the best deal. maybe not price of the base machine talk to every dealer possible and see if they will give you any deals on aftermarket goodies or even throw a thing or two in for dropping 6,000 at their place instead of the guy down the street.
