Default 250x/300ex motor question

I've got a 300ex.. with a 250x stroker crank in it.. which is slow.. does anyone know if i purchase a 250x bottom end and put the stroker crank in it, since it has the extra length for the kick starter.. can i use the 300ex top end and bolt it up to the 250x bottom end? thanks

Default 250x/300ex motor question

its slow.. stock 3's beat it.. but i've also got other problems slowing me down such as my clutch slipping and not the right jetting.. i'm unsure as to the size of the stroke .. bought it off ebay.. i knew it would fit in the 300 motor but forgot that the difference between a 250 and a 3 is the stroke.. i'm just trying to figure out how to make something work out of what i have .. my case has a crack in it from my chain thats why i was trying to piece a motor together using a 250x and a 300ex
