you cannot, don't do it. Only on the 03-05 Rincon. I know people with both Ranchers and Rinnys and they have them cut on the Rinny and stock on the Rancher.

I did on my brand new rancher, I took 6 coils off and can tell a big difference compared to the lag it had. BTW I have had no problems.

Yes, you can do it. I have personally seen 2 Ranchers that had it done. Both of them were amazed at the difference in throttle response. Its very simple to do. Just remove the top plate from your carb. 4 screws. Cut the spring, if your scared only cut 6-8 coils. Replace the longer part of the spring along with the top of the carb and test. But you might want to hang on, because your probably going to do a wheelie. If you buy a dynojet kit, it comes with a softer spring. Same thing. This is a free mod that works. If you don't like it a new spring only costs about 8 bucks. Also if this wasn't a vacuum carb it wouldn't have a spring. Listen to the people who have done it. You will like it.

Honestly I don't know. I have seen it done on the Ranchers 350, and 400, Foremans and of course the Rincon. Try it and let us know. A new spring is cheap if it doesn't work.
