Just Bought A Foreman!
#1
Well, I live in Louisiana, right on the state line of Mississippi. I have been obsessing over buying a Rincon for weeks now and I finally got off my *** and went to Honda of Columbia to get a RINCON. After getting an out-the-door price, we decided to go ahead to Brookhaven and see if we could do a little better. After talking to the guy there and telling him what kind of riding I like to do (mud, water, trails), he told me that I definitely need a Foreman instead of a Rincon. He also said that the direct fuel injection would tear to hell and back if I took it into deep water. So after thinking it over, we decided to get a 2006 Foreman ES, and after riding around for about 2 hours, I can already say that I LOVE this machine! I'm still itching about that Rincon though, so you guys tell me if you think I'm missing out or if you think the Foreman is the right choice for me. Thanks!

The Foreman is a fantastic machine. It has a huge following and makes a good mudder. The Foreman is a truck and with the low gearing it will keep bigger tires turning in the mud. The Rincon is faster and a smoother ride. But it will bog down bigger tires in the mud. I don't think you made a bad choice.

Congrats on the new bike highwayrider09!!! I just purchased one myself although I went with the "S" model instead of the electronic shifter. These things are AMAZING machines and I can't complain about any aspect of it at all. I'm right down de bayou from you in Houma and broke the new bike in at the spillway just last week. Good to see some more guys from Louisiana on here!!!

RSTed1000, did you buy a yellow foreman and do you drive a Toyota Tacoma truck? I think I met you at the spillway.

Dats Me! Small world ain't it? Yea, I finished up riding that evening, brought it home to wash it up and get all of the sand rinsed off, then came offshore the following week. I may go back to the spillway to ride before long, but I don't like the idea of running the machine through so much sand. I just signed up on a lease in southwestern MS so I'll probably be driving the extra miles up to there to play in some decent mud and trails.
You wouldn't happen to know of anymore places around the area that offer some nice trail riding?

RSTed1000, I don't know if you remember me or not, but the day you went to ride your new Foreman at the spillway I was out there looking at your AtV. I told you that I was in the market to buy one, but was very undecided on which one to buy. Well, since that time I purchassed a 2007 camo Rubicon from Great River Honda in Natchez, MS.
I am very satisfied with my purchase. I went this weekend to MS. and rode about 35 miles on it. Well hope to see you at the Spillway again.
