2000 350 4x4 es

Default 2000 350 4x4 es

is this a great go anywhere through mud, rocks, water, trails, roads,forests machine? would it be good for farm work and exploring

The machine you are refering to is called the Rancher. It is a superb machine that will do anything you ask it to, although it certainly doesn't have awesome horsepower. Reliable manual transmission with a super low 1st gear (so you don't need a transfer case), and a nice torque sensing front differential. It is full-time 4wd, so you will want to add a Warn 424, which will make it selectable 2wd/4wd.

The Rancher is in the "in between" class. It isn't a huge heavy monster that the big bores have become, yet it is big enough to get the job done. As for a work quad, it is capable of light and medium chores, but don't try to pull any stumps with it.

The ES (electronic shifting) is a selenoid that does the sifting for you (instead of using your foot). There are a fair number of posts in here from folks having problems with them, so it's buyer beware if you are considereing one with ES.........

thanks for the help. can i have some more info on the warn 424 witch like a website and maybe a what it costs?
