one of my buddys owns an 01 big bear and it has a lift kit in it and he said he was willing to sell for 2500 now he really used it hard because ive riden with him several times and he beats it also he ha been in a couple accidents, is it worth it or would he be ripping me off

 

I think you've stated plenty of reasons not to buy it. I'm a bit surprised you'd even have to ask.
