friend of mine has an 03 rincon. all stock about 1000 miles he can ride it thru rivers/creeks and its fine. sink her in a mud hole and nail it and it carries on like a rev limiter is on. come out of the hole and its fine. any one ever hear of this???? were talking about about holes barely over the tires. he has had it in the creeks up to the racks and nothing.

 

It is steam causing the problem.

 

It sounds like a steam problem, but it should do it in water also. But try moving the vent line on the bottom of the carb. Route it up to the handlebar area. If its steam then this will fix it.
