Just obtained a 85 trx125. I was told it was running as of a few days ago, but now there's no spark. I've checked connections and everywhere else I can think of, but still nothing. Is there a way to test the CDI? Also, if the CDI was bad, wouldn't the pull start work?

 

I bought an 85 TRX 125 a year or so ago at a cheap price because the thing had been sitting for about 8 years and it had a no spark condition. I wound up installing a new CDI and that took care of the problem.
