Ok, that must be at the rear wheel then, because the title for my 400ex says 32hp. Dang they squeeze a lot of hp outta those 125s, it must all be at like 10,000rpm or something, heh.

a CR 125 in a 8th of a mile would kill a 400EX, dirt bikes are snappy.

Seems like they listed the CR250 HP on my 125 title...strange.

The title shows crankshaft HP as provided by the manufacturer. I would be skeptical of it's accuracy.

Well when I was at PISMO a couple of months ago I dragged a CR250 and KTM250. Off the line I actually got them but as soon as I was in 3rd it was all over they passed me right up and just kept on going. I finnnaly had to stop because the sand pasting was getting a little bit anyoing to my face and eyes But hey I knew that I was going to loose so I didnt care. These things are supposed to be for fun, and even though I lost, it was a lot of fun!

My 400 is totally stock....
We have tried that race a bunch of times. Both riders of comparable skill levels...the 125 walks it every time. Hooks up better and just goes.
Even when we trade bikes.
It is hard to keep the front end down on the 400 with a full power take off...and thats what its going to take to beat the dirt bike. I'm not saying it can't be done. But it's very difficult.
My banshee with mods has no problems keeping up and beating the 125 in a strait line situation...But I still have problems with it on tight, jumpy courses/trails.
I can't talk for a modded 400.
