2002 Honda Rancher Steering???
I bought a 2002 Honda Rancher 4x4 that was taken excellent care of but the steering is stiff, is this normal or is there something i can do to free it up some.
I know the ATV has beed taken excellent care of and never wrecked because I bought it from my brother.
Thanks for any replies.

is it stiff while sitting still (normal) or when riding (can be fixed)? If it happens when riding, I would suggest a warn 424 unlocker. It helps to keep the 4x4 from making the steering tough, plust makes it a lot more fun.
But you could also have some other issues, like a bent steering shaft that is binding in the frame, or you could have rusty steering linkages and suspension parts. It's hard to say.

The reason i thought something was wrong is because i use to ride a Wolverine (The only reason i sold it is because someone made me an offer i couldn't refuse), and the steering wasn't near as stiff. This poses a big problem to me because as my user name implies, I only have one hand and steering gets kinda tough after only 30 minutes or so of riding. I'll have to save some $$$ for a few weeks and get a 424.
Thanks for the replies!
