06 trx 450r steps for piston replacement ?

This forum is awsume. Does anybody no when u replace the piston on these 06 trx 450r /// are the cylenders honeable I no u cant bore them are they nickel plated ? I asked the dealer about it he looked stumped ,,he said just use emery cloth little bit ,, i just about chocked thats bull . how do the rings seat with no cross hatch? is it just put the new piston and rings and thats it iv never heard of that ,and how it wouldnt burn oil from previous cylender glaze,, help anybody

well inspect the bore most time with little run time you will not need to hone it, but if ya got a lot of run time you will need a special coated hone it is a very hard surface and our dealer has this hone. my kx250 has had 3 pistons in stalled with a little hone and slap in the piston.get the right hone!

Im in paso robles, if you need help with your cylinder PM me and bring it to the shop.
You want to inspect the cylinder for wear but it is a nikasil bore which means you can lightly hone it to break the glaze, but you cant bore it.
Dont use emery paper...lol
