250EX Sticky throttle

Default 250EX Sticky throttle

The throttle is hard to press and sticks. I took the whole thing apart and it all moves freely until I connect the spring and install the barrell into the carb then it is hard to push and sticks. I need help

Default 250EX Sticky throttle

How old is the cable? You could try lubing it. They aren't that expensive, so replacing it if it is more than a year old will probably solve your problem.

Default 250EX Sticky throttle

Fixed the sticky part, but it is still more difficult to press than my Rincon. How bout a twist throttle, would that be easier?

Default 250EX Sticky throttle

The little EX isn't a machine that is known for its stiff throtle, like some machines are (like the YFZ450 for example). So, it has to be some problem particular to your machine.
