Default HONDA-Remove Surface Scratches

I recently bought a used Honda Recon. It appears someone has used a brush to clean it and left some surface scratches. Can anyone recommend a compound or wax to remove these scrathces? Has anyone ever tried this before? Thanks for your help.

I have heard toothpaste is a mild polish ...make sense to me....but just cleaning it with pledge makes mine shine except a few boot scuffs on the back fender
