Default 02 450 Foreman--winch placement

I have been using my Honda in snowplowing etc and I just got a Viper 2500 winch to install. Iver looked over the body and think I need to get the front cover off to get the winch installed as it will not fit from the bottom. Is there any trick to getting the plastic cowling off the front of the unit??Ive looked it over but think Im making too much of a project of this if I have to pull all the metal framing off before I get to the body..any thoughts?

If it mounts like a Warn, you don't need to remove anything except maybe a front tire. Go in from the wheel well. All of the ones I have seen are mounted to the two tubes running back at a 45 degree angle.

I highly recommend you buy a mounting kit for it. If you don't you will end up drilling and cutting and alot of unnecessary disassembly / reassembly would be required.
