I hear alot of shops offering ceramic coating for the piston, rockers, etc.. If you have done this mod what did you think... I hear it is not that much more expensive to do...

I have never coated anything on my quad but I have Jet Hotted manifolds on my car. Let me tell you....the car runs about 30% cooler with them coated. If you want call Jet-Hot and they will tell you all of the benefits of coatings. I had two manifolds done and it cost me $175 shipped.

Trick400EX...

I was talking with Steve Abbot not to long ago and he strongly suggested the ceramic coating. He said that all his dersert motors were ceramic coated and held together better than those without coating.

I saw your thread where you were going to have Steve do your motor. I'd be interested on your outcome. It sounds like he knows what he's talking about. I probably would have let Steve do my motor but I found a local guy with lots of experience building 440's.
