Man, I just can't seem to tackle this one. Where my silencer meets the head pipe I have a leak. It's spits out black crap onto the swingarm and the frame. I've done about everything possible to stop this. I've noticed no performance loss...or gain. Should I just deal with it or what?? I had some exaust sealant tape on there for a while, but after my last bumpy trip to the dunes and the problem has surfaced again. Thanks, Drew

I had a similar problem on a street bike and solved it this way: place a bead of clear silicone on the headpipe, then place the silencer on the headpipe. Leave it dry about 24 hours before starting it up.

When we put pipes on any 250r at the head or in the back you can use RTV red(high temp) silcone and this will seal. I have never had a problem with this.

No, I think he'll bury himself. My quad is no mudder (400EX). I'll be curious to see how well the H.O. does. I'll bet on the mud....and water. Atleast he'll stay clean. I sure won't.
