Default Tempting switch .....think it'd be a smart move ?

Hey all , havent been here in a while , but I have a 04 400ex with some $ into her. Like $1000 . Should I sell it for $3300 and buy my buddies mint condition 1987 250r , its mostly stock and he claims it runs about 82 , my 400ex onlt does 64...... and iam the slowest one it out riding group and iam always left behind on the roads. I like jumping , messing around it pits , and basicaly all sport wheeler riding . Think I should buy the 250 ? Thanks Chris

That all depends on a few things... First of all if you do any woods riding i would definately stick with the 4 stroke. Do you keep up with maintenance? if not a 2 stroke probably isnt a good idea(although only saying that from here say, and besides its a honda...) if going fast and jumping in pits are your main riding areas... heck yea i would trade up. i have an 05 400ex and i raced my buddies 250r, i pulled away from him at first, once he stopped spinning, he blew past me. i still want to get my hands on an old 2stroke... ne ways, i would do it. how much does he want for his 250r? more than what you would sell your 400 for? maybe he would take a trade, and maybe he could get more for the 400. anyways, sounds like you have it figured out, your right thumb is itchin to have more power... go for it!!! ITS A MINT 250R!!!

I would do the deal but ony if the engine has been taken care of and maintained if not I prob wouldn't go for it...Or you could also get an 05 450r for about 5k which would also be a good trade even though the 06/07's are faster
