400ex mild buildup
Hey. Nothin' hard. I'm just sellin' my 300ex for a 400ex, which I plan to mainly make to look cool and handle extra nice, and also do mild engine work. I've solidly decided to go with a normal bore (.020, .040 whatever I need to get the taper out) Wiseco 11:1, for mild performance and reasonable reliability. I am going to invest in an LRD pro4 full system and UNI filter. I'm unsure on the cam though. I have some ideas and understand the basic science of camshafts, but if anyone has had good luck with a certian cam in this situation, or knows a lot of stuff, let me know. Feel free to delve into obscenely technical discussions. I've done a fair amount of engine work and am competent.

If your looking for the cam specs and all, I'd sudjest going to their web sites. Everything is there that your asking for. Try looking for Hotcams (camshafts of coarse) Megacams, Webb cams. I found mine on e-bay and got a good deal on it. (after I figured out what I wanted) Plus the Hotcams don't have to have different valvesprings and such. That helps the pocket quite abit.
I have a Hotcams stage 2 and it is allright. I think it would run alot better if it had a higher compression, but I don't plan on tearing into the motor until I have to. It revs alot quicker than the stocker, and it seems to pull harder every where in the rpm range. I was hoping for alot more than what it gave me, but over all, it made a nice difference.
