Thanks for those replies, interesting reading. I have a 2003 450 with 25000 miles on it and about 3000 hours. Also have a 2003 Rubicon with 12500 miles on it, which aint bad since it was fully submerged for 12 hours in a flood, when it was only on 1500 miles. Seem to be pretty reliable.

 

Not a honda but in the class of redicuously high miles. I saw a kawasaki prairie 650 with somthing like 15,600 miles once. Thats allot of miles.

 

I have 02 rubicon when I bought it hade 15xxx on it. They do get tired though, you can figure about a mile on a atv is like 30 on a car.

 

i might be wrong because i used US gallons, maybe youre supposed to use imperial gallons, but i get good efficiency because

-1) bombardier! they are efficient
-2) only 250cc
-3) that is just cruising along a paved road with only 1/3rd throttle

if its im gallons, i only get 99mpg and 319 miles per tank
