450R Wins Baja 1000......again!

Nice to see them have to eat the dust of two Hondas............
And you don't think they prepared as well as Honda did for this, with the reputation of their brand new PIG on the line???? >>>>>>>>
Apples and oranges....The Outlander has dominated all the utlity series. You can only prepare so much the machine still has to hold up. I see a lot of Honda 650 ATV's in this race finished high, a 450r frame with a 650 I guess enduro engine?

But like I said, it really doesn't even make up that much of a difference, I don't know why even do it.

Not sure what this "650" thing is about. In the top 5 finishers, I see only one and it is called a "Honda SRP650". http://race.off-road.com/race/articl....jsp?id=386965
I will try to post a list of all the finishers, but I do not recall seeing any other Honda 650 ATV's listed.
Also, the time difference between the 1st and 2nd place finisher is ~2 hours. Now even if they did cut the course by 3 or 4 miles, no way that is going to account for two whole hours.............

Cutting the course does help if it's after a crash and you can get to your pit faster by bypassing a very slow section. They saved 30- 45 mins by CHEATING !! Maybe it doesn't make a difference in the class standings but it sure does in the overall standings. I was told yesterday that there was a protest filed by more than one team. I'll bet anybody that we hear nothing about it.
