I want a complete exhaust system on my 400ex and am trying to decide between the yoshimura yrd race series or the big gun. I don't want to lose any of my bottem end but would like mid range and some top end. Which would give me the increase in power in the areas I want? Which sounds best? I have heard the big gun and like the way it sounds and the loudness is tolerable, but I wouldn't want anything much louder. Thanks

Right now I have a complete Big Gun, I hate it. The yoshi would be a way better system then the Big Gun, especially if you plan to build your engine later on. But I still say that the DMC is better than the yoshi, because it flows better. It is up to you though, just don't get the Big Gun.

Hey bigboy 400EX!!! I'm going to buy a Yoshimura pipe for my 400EX, but I was just going to buy the slip on because I don't have the money for the complete system, will this make a difference or should I wait and save my money and try to buy the complete system??? I'm not going to do anything to the motor, just a filter and rejet!!!

What should I change it too a 14th. I've heard you lose top end though and I don't really want to lose awhole lot or wont I. My friends ride warriors and 300EX and I like lettin them in the dust when they want to race down the old stretch.

The Big Gun is fine for a stock bike, but not for a modified motor. The Yoshi may be a better system than the DMC on the dyno with stock bikes(which I doubt), but if you modify your motor then the DMC wins hands down. You need more flow with a modified motor and with dual pipes on the DMC there is no comparison between the 2. Now with the noise issue, the DMC is loud, but I talked to the pipe builders and with there spark arrestor kit on the pipe, it is around 94DB,and without it 104DB.
