I got a 300ex and i have been ridding it for about 5 weeks and 2 days ago i was ridding and the Exhaust got hot and started to melt the body but lucky i caught it i was wondering why it suddenly started getting so hot? i hadnt been ridding it long and i have been putting it through alot tougher stuff.. i was wondering if there was somthing wrong... n e help would be apriciated...thnx

dont worry about it , you can get some heat shield material and put it on the plastics to prevent them from melting but I wouldnt worry about that quad getting too hot... I had an 01 300ex rode it in 115 degree AZ desert weather for hours and never had a problem

Lol...yea just pick up some of the tape and put it on the under side of the plastics to prevent the plastics from melting anymore, and then all should be good. The only way you would have a problem is if the exhaust is glowing red but it is fine if it isn't.
