No matter what engine mods you do to a quad it will never be FASTER than stock. Quicker yes, faster no. This is due to the stock rev limiter.
The only way to make your quad faster is to put on an after market rev box, change the gearing or change to taller tires, or all three.

Man I think a 400ex could outrun my ranger through the gears AND top end.Thats the weakest truck I've ever owned but man I can pass them gas stations up when most trucks have to pull in and get fuel.
