shifting 85 250 fourtrax

Default shifting 85 250 fourtrax

well just got this and want to know if someone can explane to me how to shift it in to rev and through the gears with out a clutch.

I am assumeing that you are talking about the utility 250 with the front and rear racks. I have an 86 model that is basically the same as yours. To shift it into reverse, start out in neutral and push the red button on the right handle bar and pull in the right brake and push down on the foot shifter, and thats reverse. Then to go back to neutral just shift up one time and you will be back in neutral. Then the rest of the gears just go up. Make sure you take your thumb off the throttle everytime you shift to.

One exception. It is the left brake!
