so i got some fog lights awhile ago for my recon and they burned out, they did because i had the lights connected directly to the battery and the lights are only set for 12 volts while the battery with the quad running gives off 13 so it blew the lights....so my question is how do i wire the lights into the rectifier or would it just be eaiser to wire them into something else, say the regular headlights? any help would be greatly appreciated

It wont matter where in the system you tap into....as the rpms go up, the voltage does too. As long as it doesnt excede 14.5 volts, at about 5000 rpm its a good system.
Do you have an inline fuse, to the lights? Is the switch wired to a relay, or is the switch and lights on the same hot wire?
Did the bulbs burn out...or did the filments break due to vibration? If they burned out, it should look discolored and should have weld looking spatter inside the glass, of the bulb. If the interior of the bulb looks clean..it probably failed due to vibration. The bulbs should safely handle 15 or more volts, if they were made for an auto or truck application.

ok, they wernt discolored or anything, so i am presuming that they failed due to vibration... and i do have an inline fuse in the wireing of the lights, the fuse blew when one of the lights stoped working...also the switch is not wired to a relay , they are both on the same hot wire
