what are the reasons for choosing the ES?
This is my biggest sticking point. I like manual shift and I like auto trans. Never had or even rode a ES so it's a roll of the dice if I buy one. Manual shift does'nt impress me either without a clutch.

07 Rancher question
I had my 420 rancher for apoxx 1 month with 180 miles on it. at the beginning top speed was 59 mph. Then my dealer called and advise honda sent a memo out to recall my rancher due to improper set valves. now it tops out at 56 when the rev limiter engages. I had mine through mud and water with no problems. this quad is very nimble and quick. I have the 4x4 and it will pick the front wheels up in first and second.

07 Rancher question
If anyone else has a new Rancher tell me what you think of it. I am moving to Michigan in the spring and have been thinking of buying a Suzuki sport quad or an Ozark. None of the other utility quads do much for me but the picture on the cover of Quad makes me think that this is really an all around machine. I like the fuel injection and water cooling. If I'm going to spend 4500 or more on something it better be up to date.

07 Rancher question
I bought my '07 4x4 ES Rancher Saturday, took it riding straight out of the dealer and absolutely love it. Pleanty of power! Noticed the catwalk think that surprised me. Got it up to 48 mph on a very short, rough road with pleanty of gas left. My estimate is around 56 mph tops. I got this one for my fiancee and was going to get a new Rincon come summer, but i may just get another rancher. It impressed me that much. Didn't get as good of a deal as everyone else though. $5300 and i added a warranty b/c it is such new tech for honda. Would reccomend to anyone.

07 Rancher question
The manual says to come to a complete stop before using the 2wd/4wd select lever. My Rancher has 346 miles on it now and I honestly can't find a bad thing to say about it. It feels stronger everyday and the ride is great compared to the old Rancher. Since I brought the new Rancher home my '06 Foreman has been parked.
