Just a thought, an addendum if you will. This thought is brought about by the statements "stand behind my quad.." and the like.

If only we, as mankind, would so protect and stand up for each other with the verocity and tenacity that we do inanimate objects, sports teams, and other compeditive "things" (that can neither bring us happiness or joy) our world would be a much better place.

One last thought: why is it if one owns a Yamaha, Polaris, Kawasaki, Suzuki, whatever that you visit a brand forum not related to yours. I would think that one fact shows one in looking for problems. ie. It's hard to find trouble if you're not looking for it.

HH,

I am sorry but it seems to me like you are the one trying to pick a fight with everyone. You have a comment after everyone else says something. Maybe you should grow up a little. The real reason why everyone acts so tough here, is because they are behind a computer and not face to face. I also believe half of the comments are just in fun, and people just take them the wrong way. I would think something was wrong if my friends and I didn't rag on each others quads, trucks, and just about everything. It seems to me like you are preaching just a little too much here, with the no sports, no competition bologna!

Honda Hunter...it is human nature to fight. Just think back to history class and look at the world today. Hundreds of thousands of people are still at war and masacreing each other and tens of thousands more are in jail or out on the streets commiting violent acts. But I do not feel like getting into a philosophical debate. And by the way, that saying comes from me.

I am here to talk about ATV's.

"People fight over everything...thats life"

Well, I don't know if I would agree that it is human nature; however, I understand your point about the wars, fighting and such that are going on.

I'll accept your point, but would really hope then that we can change a nature that separates and destroys rather than affirm and build up.

Thank you for your comments.

Monk1,

I am not attempting to pick a fight, simply dialog and communicate, hence the comments back, and if you'll notice I comment directly back with those who make their comments.

I do concure, that the aninimity of the web makes for many hero's who normally wouldn't be, if you'll notice my one post I stated that.

I also agree that to rag a friend is part of the game; the problem comes from a faceless dialog and blurred lines of communication as to just what is ragging and what is abusive. Wouldn't you agree? I regularly have these types of exchanges with my friends, and it even includes those that ride the same brand of quad, however, in context it is clear of our intentions.

in your statement, "It seems to me like you are preaching just a little too much here, with the no sports, no competition bologna!" I am simply reqesting that we keep it on a light, non-condemning plane.

Thank you for your reply.

Isn't it funny how when you have your quad on the trailer, and pass another guy with his quad, you give each other the quad owner nod, no matter what brand it is. Then, we come to this website that is totally dedicated to the sport we love, and we slam each others rides.

We all are lucky to be ridin anything. If somebody saves up some money and buys a 1982 ATC 185 and has fun on it then good for them, thats all that matters. No ones is better just ride and have fun. I have a $300 ATC 200 and a $7000 EX and I love them both equally. As long as your having fun then good for you buddy!!!! Polaris' are nice machines but they lack a true sport quad with a-arms and clutch just like big Honda's lack the clearance and independant rear suspension(excellant feature) and the Sportsmans, they all are pretty decent. We all need to RIDE MORE and POST LESS!!!!!!!

I think I have a simple enough answer to the remark.

My quad is different than others, make, model, year, whatever. If all quads were the same there would be much less argument, and much less fun. I like being able to ride a different quad than that of my buddies, and I like ******* them about what they ride, they like doing the same right back too. 90% of the time its just goofing off, but you do have some real die-hards on here, idiots, and young kids, all of which find in neccesary to lose their temper and mouth off.

You're right, it is a public forum. Look around in a public place away from the computer, the real world, and you see the same thing going on with different subjects and all. Just like being out in the real public.

By the way, if any one has the chance, go watch Finger Eleve, Sevendust, and Creed in concert. They all rock live.
