Q or Q2?

A friend of mine had a Q on his 400ex. It sounded really bad, but was quiet. He cut part of the tip off, to get more flow. That made it sound worse.

I have a Q2 on my 450. It is a great muffler. Still quiet(never been tested). I would guess 97ish db, with no airbox. The fit and finish are sound, with about a year and half service.

I also have a Q2 on my 450 (480)
I am very pleased with it's performance with the mods I have.
I ride the Oregon dunes so I need to be concerned on the db level.
I have had this pipe for a year.

Hey Moto, be sure to tell them to send the Q-tip with that.

Have you looked at the White Bro's E2??

Like I said before, on my EX I had 2 FMF's fall completely apart, which was disappointing because I like FMF.

The WB e series I have has been good, but it did break the weld at the inlet to the pipe. No biggy if you can weld.

Just try not to set yourself on fire.

Default FMF Q series?

I have 2 E series mufflers, from 40ex's, laying on the floor. They have been welded a total of 4 times. They are so bad, I won't sell them.

The E2 is a different model, though. It might hold together, but won't buy one to find out.

The E2 was not available for my so's 300ex so I went with the full system Q2. 93 or decibels and runs great (after playing with jetting f course). The pipe alone is about 20% larger.
