Anyone modify the handlebar light so you can shut it off while leaving the headlights on? It's a little annoying when you're carrying a load on the front racks at night.

It's as simple as splicing a switch inline with the wire leading to the lamp in the headlight housing.

I did this mod to my Rubi, as well as my 450. It really does help when carrying anything large on the front rack. Easy to do. There are two wires coming from the headlight...a brown one and a green one. I spliced into the brown one with a small toggle switch, and covered it with a waterproof cover.

I also put in a toggle switch like the others. I mounted mine in the bottom of the headlight pod and used a waterproof boot on the switch. Only needed about 6 inches of wire and its all contained inside the pod.
