07 Rancher or Forman???
Those spec sheets are kind of useless:
They don't even mention that the 420 is water cooled, they don't mention that the Rancher has the exact same torque sensing differential as the 500, and they don't mention that the Rancher also has TraxLok (selectable 2wd/4wd) just like the 500. If this spec sheet was all that somebody knew about these machines, they would be very badly misinformed..........
They did however get the price right, and the Rancher is an incredible bargain by comparison!

Another thing to consider is the fact that Honda might have a completely redesigned Foreman not far off, leaving you wanting the newer model. That was the case with my '06 Rancher. Literally the day after I bought my '06 Honda announced the redesigned '07. In the end I felt the 420 was such an improvement ,I ended up buying one when they were released. I had also considered a foreman but decided to go with the all new model so I wouldn't be outdated in a year.

I not sure about that reasoning? The 350 Does not cost as much as the new 420 Rancher,so even if you waited for the 07 Rancher you would of had to spent more money. Just because a new ATV with the same name comes out it does not mean the older one is no good.
For example I would buy the last 660 Grizzly over the new 700 Grizzly if the price is right. The 660 Grizzly is a awesome ATV to have no matter if they come out with a 700,800 down the road. The 420 is a completely new bike with a old name, not a improved 350 Rancher. If they renamed the 500 "Foreman" to the 500 "Rancher" would you think its a improved 350 Rancher you should of waited for?
Honda should not of discontinued the 350 Rancher just because the 420 Rancher came out. Instead they could just changed the 350 Ranchers name to say,350 "Run-a-bout". It would just be a nice option for the person who wants a 4x4 ATV that cost less than the new 420. I think Honda should have a bigger selection in my opinion anyways.

420 price 350 price.
Thats just M.S.R.P list,I'm sure the difference is greater on a actual show room floor.

WOW! I thought it would cost more than that? I did not think they even made a 350 Rancher 2x4.
