2006 rubicon ,how big can you go?
#4
I just bought new tires for my rubicon and went with 26's. The place where I bought them from said if I went with a 27" I would need to put a 2" lift on. they also told me if I went wider I would lose some speed. hope this helps.

I put on 27' itp 589s on my 2005 rubicon they fit just fine but yes I did loose some power so I put in a jet kit and it does great know. I also use my stock tires and rims when I am just trail riding and use the big ones in mud and pushing snow.

It made a big diffrince in my 2005 rubicon with the big tires on it I would always loose power right at the top of big hills at the sand pits we ride at and now I can spin the 27' ITP 589s all the way up. I havnt had much time to try out the 2006 foreman but I did ride it on a high way and I was a couple of miles per hour faster then the before in a 1/4 mile. The power kit I got was a quad works comes with a dyno jet kit, K&N filter and outerwears pre filter I got it through my honda dealer and it ran me $110 a peice. I did not want to change the pipe yet so this kit is nice it has all the stuff for stock pipe and if you modify any thing it can be changed very easy.
