HOME MADE TIRE CHAINS for trx200SX
#1
I have an Idea!!...
I have always wanted to buy tire chains but they were too expensive...so I might make them myself...all I have to do is go out and buy some chain(galvanized), and cut it(with bolt-cutters) to fit around my tires and attach the chains to each other by maybe hooks or something to adjust them with when the tires get smaller or bigger.....so what do you guys think??

Right, but I think you will find that chain is more expensive then you thought and you don't end up saving much if anything. The saves will likely be lost to ease of removal after driving in mud.
Not saying it can't be done, but you looking at $60 for a set of chains, and buing chain at hardware store will cost about that.
Of course it depends where you buy things. If you buy solid gold chains compared to your normal chain you save money. (Sometimes with dealer prices I think the prarts must be gold)
