Rinconriders is a great site for Rincons. Alot of good guys there and you dont have to deal with the BS that happens here.
The only thing I changed was the springs and it was like night and day. It made it ride a little harder but handling is way better. It was only a $100 investment.

Rode it this past weekend and gotta say, I really like the 680 over the 650. I mainly liked the transmission's shifting on the 07. On my old one I always rode in ESP and shifted myself. But the way the auto works on the 07, I didn't feel the need to use ESP. The shift points were way better suited to the type of riding I was doing. This probably don't make sense. But Honda revised the auto in 06. It really makes a difference when riding. Whether I'm hauling azz or just tooling around, it just seemed to be in the right gear.
The ride and handling were the same, except for this one being tighter feeling. But after 2300 plus miles on my 05 and a new 07 it should be tighter.
The power to me was a little lagging in off the line performance. But my 05 had several mods that really woke it up. Midrange they felt about the same. I'm gonna start some tinkering on the 07 this week to see if I can wake this one up also. I have a few things in mind to try to see if I can get some throttle response out of it.
I'll let you guy's know how it works out.

I don't think there is anything unusual for the break-in. I think the book says 10 hours or 100 miles it's due to have the valves checked and oil and filter changed.
I just got back from a 5 day camping/riding trip, so I did the oil change in camp, and will be a bit late on the valves. When you remove the filter, there is a metal washer that goes between the filter and a spring that holds it into position. It would be very easy to throw that washer away with the filter. Other than that, it's pretty straight forward. Avoid long full throttle for the first few miles, but don't baby it, either.
The machines I rode with include a 650 Rincon, a 500 Rubicon, and a 400 Outlander max xt. The 680 Rincon seems to shift more firmly and it seems to be easier to get the machine to shift where you want it to by how you manipulate the throttle. It also seems to downshift more aggressively when you pop off the throttle, giving better compression braking, but below about 9 there still isn't much.
The only issue I had was at about 35 miles it started handling funny and the bar was off center. I found the jamb nuts for the left tie rod had backed off and were spinning around on the threads. Fortunately the rod shortened up, rather than unscrewing and coming off. I was able to get the alignment close and tighten the lock nuts against the tie rod ends along side the trail... When you get yours, you might make sure to check those.
I also found that the front suspension can blow through it's travel when you land on a whooped out trail, but if you get your weight a bit farther back it does better. If the added weight of the bumper and winch I have planned make that much worse, I'll think about the high lifter springs...

Thanks for the congrats. I have been out enjoying the machine. I already got my ATV-Guru bumper, and plan on a skid plate, warn xt30, and maybe the Foreman headlight conversion, possibly HL springs...
Anyhow, for some reason the Rincon seems to stir up strong feelings in some people, either one way or the other.
They are different, and I think a person needs to get some actual trail riding time on one before deciding if it's right for them or not.
We switched machines a bit on this last ride, and my GF's dad seemed to really like the 680's throttle response, and the way it rode and shifted. He noted that it's alltogether different than the Rubicon.
I think it's got around 175 miles or so on it now, and it did seem sluggish off idle until the rings got seated a bit... Mine also seems to fire right up in the cold, which is a nice improvement over the 650. My buddy with the 650 is thinking about buying a 680 just as a 2nd quad...
