Default K and N on a 450er

Ok, so i have my 2006 trx450er, and Ive been hearing a lot of bad things about the K and N air filters letting in to much dust for the titanium valves. I have pictures of the set up in my page. What do you think I should do to make it not so bad for the engine. I could either buy a uni filter, I kinda want to keep the k an n (just because i am kinda brand loyal to k and n's). or i could buy a nother outerwear for it, or buy a uni filter and just take the red part and put it over the outerwear cover that is already on it. I dont want to lose any power so im just trying to find a way to do this without putting the airbox back on. What do you think?

Thanks

Also, let me know what you think of the new photos!

Rather than write it all over again, you can see my thoughts on K&N's here: http://forums.atvconnection.com/mess...did/513699.cfm

From the pics, it looks like you are running without an airbox. I feel like an airbox adds dead airspace around the filter making it easier for the filter to catch the air, ranther than being without one and having the air rapidly rushing past. My buddy went without a box for years, and when he finally put one on, he actually had to jet UP.....he was getting more air WITH the box (but no lid)!
