Everybody is on track here; my only suggestion is to go with a full exhaust system instead of a slip on. It may only add another 1 or 2 HP but if your going to throw down 300-400 smackers on exhaust pay a little extra more and get it all. I know if I had it to do over again I would get the full

I kinda want to pick up a old/cheap sport to mess around with out back.

Hope its as good to you as the kodiak is.
Yah, the Kodiak is bullet proof and I expect the 300ex will be as well....so long as I don't start really tearing into it

I really would like to do a full exhaust on the 300ex....we'll see did I mention my birthday was yesterday? I still have to buy myself a gift.....LOL

It's amazing the misinformation that gets spilled out. Get your pen and legal paper out girls......it's 13 HP.....thats it. What do you expect from a 282cc low compression and low state of tune fire breathing monster? If someone recommends a DG pipe this thread is going in the trash can. Heres a horse[power graph of a 300ex, stock vs highly modified. 23 horse is doable, if you really pour the money into it.

a 300 is maybe 13,14 hp! the only way to measure hp is at the rear wheels. my rancher which is far from stock only has 14hp!!

I have drag raced and ridden 300ex,400ex,z400's. The modded 300ex was able beat stock 400ex and z400's that were un-modded.....I am not sure what the 300 had done to it, but it was dam fast....(and it was not the fastest 300ex on earth) in fact it looked beat......... It may have been bored and stroked and who knows what
