Hey guys, got some questions for the experts on the best quad ever made(IMO) the 400ex. First of all I bought a hotcams stg 1 cam and I have been looking at the various 426 kits available. Without having a lot of knowledge on things like compression and internal parts, I am not to shore what to go with, so I was wondering If you guys coulda sort of break it down for me. I do mostly trail and pit riding and I love hill climbs, but I also do intermediate jumps. I have no desire to start racing but I do like to mess around on the track. What should I go with for compression on my setup? Should I replace all the internal bearings when I drop in the new 426 piston? Should I buy a new cylinder or is boring out the stock one sufficient and durable enough? I am assuming the cam does not come with a cam chain so should I buy a heavy duty one? Any suggestions or info you guys have is greatly appreciated I dont wanna throw this all together only to find out that after a days drive I blow it up because I should have replaced the crank also. Thank you all in advance.
