Default few questions for a newby

Guys I was just wondering the answer the a few of these quick questions that I have. I wasn't really able to find a good answer in the owners manual (06 Rubicon):

1. What is the best way to clean the air filter and how often?

2. When checking the oil do you have to screw the dipstick all the way down and should you run it at all before?

3. Does it hurt the fuel components to run the tank dry and shut the fuel off when preparing to store it instead of just draining the carb?

I'll assume the air cleaner is stock. I just use Dawn dishwashing liquid, let it dry then reoil it. How often? About every other ride for me. But my normal rides last all weekend and about 150 miles.
When checking the oil you want the dipstick to just rest on the funnel or whatever you call it. Do not screw it back in.
On a non EFI machine like yours it won't hurt anything to run it dry. But I would rather use Stabil fuel stabilizer instead of draining it. But that just me. Its a gravity fed system and won't hurt anything to run dry.
