Default Foreman 450 4x4 select or not select

My dad has a 98 foreman and I was wondering if being able to kick it out of four wheel drive made that much difference as far as easier steering and smoother driving up and down the road. I was thinking of putting one of Highlifter kits on it but didn't know if it was worth it. Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks

the warn 424 selector is probly one of the best mods to have!imo. and its a lot better steering, and its fun to whip that back end around them corners.

I'm sorry I meant Warn, I had just seen where it was advertised at one time on highlifters website. Thanks for the replies. I was wondering if the steering would take less effort to turn it with the front end disengaged. I know sliding it around will but my dad is 65 and his days of sliding around are about over. I was just trying to make it easier for him. He doesn't sound like he wants to buy a new atv yet.

Get a Warn. I got one for my Wolverine. It makes it alot more fun and easier to steer. Easy to install too. No problems out of mine so far.
