I picked up a 2002 recon with no title and I need to get the VIN. I have looked all over the machine and can't find it. Does anyone here have a 2002 and do you know where the VIN is?

I don't have that exact ATV but, all of my machines have the VIN on the bottom part of the frame. Kind of below the engine by the foot guards if that helps. We bought a machine on the internet with no title and you just need to take it down to the police station and have them check it out with a copy of your receipt for buying it. Then, they will sign it over to you and you get a shiny new title! Then you can register it!

 

The VIN on all Hondas if up front, right behind the bumper. You will have to look for it on the Recon because of the body work and bumpers, but there will be a flat piece of framework and it will be on that.....

In the future, it might be a good idea to run the VIN to be sure it isn't stolen, before you give some stranger your money!
