ok im thinking about going to a 416 for me 400ex, could someone tell me what all needs to be done for that, i dont really understand the boring, is it the sleeve that gets bored out or what, and do u need heavy duty studs installed with that kit or does it really matter, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

the way im taking it is u do not have to do any machining at all to the cylinder or sleeve for the .080mm piston, just a hone for the rings to seat good is this correct?
And do u have to put in a heavy duty timing chain and head is a good thing to do or is it really not the much of a major thing u need to have done?

ahh dude, if your only going with a 416 kit then you will need to have you cylinder jug bored. fortunatley you still get to use the stock sleeve. then as far as the stronger studs...i dont think its necessary. i have the work on my and run it hard with no probs .
