Can someone tell me what the angle sensor is and what the heck does it do???

Let me guess, you're having problems shifting? These are a plague for Honda. They have since made the necessary changes to fix this problem.

 

Nope never had a problem whatsoever with my 05 Rancher, I just keep reading about everyone elses woes!

same here!! never had one es problem, and i ride in small creeks ponds, just about anything **** deep!!!!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

I ride everywhere with my 05 Rancher ES also but my 07 got water in one of the connections and I just got it from the honda shop. Maybe it wont happen again.

 

gotta grease up those connector if you want to ride deep!

 

had to get mine changed after about 6 months on my 04

 

I too have never had a problem with my 2005, but i know Honda had a bad run of angle sensors in the '04-'05 range. there is a recall currently out for them I just had mine done, mine was one of the affected models, a dealer technician has to look at it to identify whether its in the affected group. I hope the new one doesnt give me issues tho
