I HAVE READ ALOT ABOUT THE UNI FILTER AND HEARED THEY ARE ALOT BETTER THAN A K&N BUT I HAVE ALSO SEEN K&N'S KICK BUTT IN THE FEILDS AROUND THE HOUSE. WHICH ONE WOULD GIVE MORE HOORSEPOWER TO A '98 300EX?

K & N will give you more pwer but the Uni will filter way better because its a foam filter. The UNI costs alot cheaper than the K & N too.
BIG GUN EXHAUST all the way.

The K&N should allow you to increase main jet size one or two sizes larger than the Uni, hence more fuel and air to go boom, hence more power. tradeoff is K&N also might allow more particles to pass thru, increasing wear. your call.

I have uni on my 250r and my blaster.I clean them both and keep them well oiled.I never find any dirt in the air intake boot.THe K&N will give you more power but might also let dirt in and ruin your top end!I have the stock filter on my 300ex and keep it cleaned also.If I want a little more power or better sound I just take of the airbox lid.
