TIC, I got ahead of myself using the term synthetic........The Honda service manual I have says the GN4 and HN4 without Molybdenum addatives are totally acceptable.....I equated Moly with synthetic and that was a mistake. Of course the Honda manual will not talk about Amsoil or other brands of oil as they certainly want to sell products with their name on them. A career in the trucking industry certainly has made me aware of the value of the best lubricants possible in the operation of equipment. If Amsoil is the way to go then I certainly want to get the correct one. Motorcycle and ATV oils both? Certainly hope I obtain the correct one.........Tass

If Yoda will enter Amsoil ATV into a search engine he will be surprised how many synthetic oils are offered that are absolutely compatable with a wet clutch. Its not so much "is it compatable" as it is "which one do I want?". It will be about a month till our next change is due but I will be changing to one of the Amsoil products.......Tass

yup, I love amsoil. THe only disadvante I have ever encoutered is that Older seals may weep as amsoil dosent make the rubber as plyable as Dyno oil does, only my old F250
's 460 rear main leaked with amsoil but didnt with the cheap $0.59 a qt havoline

everything else I have used it in loved it. Here is a list of mine and my familys engines enjoying Amsoil since 1975:

1977 Dodge van 360V8 @ 500,000 miles- full compersson to this day!
1988 Hyundai Excel now past @400,000 miles These engines are junk, amsoil truly saved this car! runs perfect
1991 Honda XR250R, my bike since the 8th grade- has out lived every one of my friends bikes 2X over, never had the engine apart, still runs perfectly
2001 Honda civic, @130,000 miles- havent even put plugs or timeing beilt in it yet, honda quality at its best
2002 honda civic @ 80,000 miles, bought used for wife- runs like new
2001 Rubicon, @1600 miiles amsoil since its 500th mile, still runs and LOOKS like it rolled off the showroom
1977 Echo chainsaw, owners manuel calls for 20:1 mix, adjusted the carb and now run Amsoil 2 cycle at 40:1 with zero smoke and way more power than stock
1990 CR250R Run amsoil @40:1 never have put a ring in it!
