Tires & Maybe Rims for a Rancher
#1
Hey Guys,
I have been reading through the posts here trying to decide what to put on my ATV....I have a 02 Rancher 4x4 and I am thinking of puting on either Bear Claws on my stock rims (stock size tires), or doing a rim & tire package getting some nice aluminum rims....
One thing I am not sure of is the rear tires, the stocks are on 11 inch rims, so I would have to go to a 12 inch rear, and I don't want to go any larger as I don't want to loose any power....
I mostly ride hardpack, gravel roads, some pavement, and use it to pull my jetboat out of the water on my sandy beach....I do some mud riding in the spring and fall.....
I was also looking at the mudlites, but I hear they wear down fast.....
Please comment & make recomendations....
thanks
Brian

yeah, the rancher has oddball rear wheels. the 11" rim is not very common, and is hard to find tires for, so if you want to do tires, you'll probably do rims at the same time. I have found that AMS makes their Swamp Fox tire in the factory sizes though, they dont look too bad for a budget tire. You'll have new tires and be able to keep the factory wheels if you wanted to go that route, but they are made more for mud and swamping (hence the name...) than anything, but they'll still work for whatever you want to use them for.
