Help my wife drive the Rancher420!
Success!
I was able to find a nice two finger brake lever for a bmx bike with a lever return spring that worked perfectly-I used a standard bike cable and routed it across and thru the housing for the instruments.I attached the cable to the throttle lever on the right side with a hoseclamp.I was able to use a mounting bracket for a mountain strap for a snowmobile to secure an eyebolt that holds the cable end securely in front of the throttle. The whole thing works perfectly and it was awesome to hear her hooting and hollering when she was riding thru the woods trails here at home.Mind you she never left third gear or went over 15 mph but she had a blast and is stoked to have a toy she can ride all by herself.Right now I have it setup so 38 mph is all it has in 5th gear using the lefty but it is adjustable by just moving the cable holder further away from the right side throttle.I also have an extra throttle return setup on the right side so the throttle pull is a lil stiffer than normal- so its not so easy for her to mistakingly goose the gas when she doesnt need to.The distance from the bars on the lefty makes it perfect for her to use the throttle but she CANNOT grab both levers at the same time-I tought her to use the handle brake more so than the foot brake initially-just so she gets used to releasing the gas before attempting to stop.
So far so good-and shes excited to go for another cruise today.Who knows-she may enjoy it so much I lose the quad and have to get another for myself-LOL

I have the same problem with only having use of my left hand. I broke my neck in auto accident and crushed my c-4 vetibra. Spinal Cord damage left my right hand paralyzed along with 50% loss in right leg. I bought a 2004 rancher manual shift which allowed me to just unclamp the throttle trigger and attach to the left side. The shut off and light switch components I clamped on to the right side. You have an es and will create a prob. in doing this. Get her a manual rancher and you are in business. Just know your limitations while riding. This will get her trail riding.
