To Lid or Not to Lid....That is the question.
Hey guys. I've got a jetted, 440 big bore 400ex. It has been raining like cats and dogs here and I want to go riding. Now I have the air box lid off but would like to put it own to keep water from getting in. I know this will make my wheeler run rich and don't think it will hurt anything but would like someone else's opinion on my conundrum. Maybe, someone has a solution for water protection?

Should be like riding at high altitude. Put it on and go for a ride and see if the performance is still acceptable.
It won't damage anything permanently (like running lean will), but it might foul your plug and leave your combustion chamer, exhaust valves, and exhaust sooty.
