Default Rancher won't start - Any Help?

Hello to everyone, this is my first post! I have a 2004 Rancher ES with 725 miles. It has run perfectly until this evening when nothing happens when we try to start it, other than we hear a click which appears to be coming from the little box right behind the Battery. The Battery checks out fine and I put it on a charger just to make sure. Any advice as to what might be the problem?

thanks

Eather the starter brushes are stuck or worn beyond spec. If the solenoid clicks, it is working. A test light on the starter's cable terminal itself and the other end of the light to chassis ground, will most likely show voltage to the starter while the starter button is depressed ( Ignition switch on). This will confirm the starter brushes are bad.

It has a pull backup starter, or you can just push start it. Have you tried that???? That will eliminate other possible causes besides the starter itself........
